About Epiphany
Epiphany on 6 January is a Christian feast that concludes the twelve days of Christmas. In Western churches it mainly commemorates the visit of the Magi, the wise men who brought gifts to the infant Jesus. In Eastern churches the feast, often called Theophany, centres on the baptism of Jesus in the river Jordan. Churches that follow the Julian calendar observe it on 19 January.
